Grade Six

Catching up on the scrapbooking! I made the second page into a pocket page to hold the report cards from that year. I am also loving the new paper flowers we have.

Make it Count

Still determined to use up some of my scraps I keep plodding along. This is using the new stamp set Make it count, as well as an old favorite Fabric Finishes. Colors are Gray Wool, Gray Flannel, Cocoa and Twilight.

These are the rules:-You must post the rules before you give your answers. You must list one fact about yourself for each letter of your middle name. Each fact must begin with that letter. If you don't have a middle name, just use your maiden name. After you've been tagged, you need to up-date your blog with your middle name and answers. At the end of your post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and need to read your blog for details.

Ok here goes. My middle name is Lyn

L is for laid back - it takes a lot to stress me out (but look out when I am! LOL)

Y is for youthful - although I turned 40 and my body is trying to tell me I'm getting old I refuse to give in!

N is for neat - I like the areas around me to be neat - it helps keep me in 'control' so that I don't feel stressed.

Now I am going to tag Kari, Stephanie and Teresa

Snow Day!

So we got some snow last night, no big deal I thought. Jaimee and I were just about out the door when she heard there was no school. Huh?! We checked it out and sure enough school was cancelled today! Loud cheer in background from Danica! I still have to go in to work, but looking forward to that - will get so much done! Jason comes back into the house about 7:20 and says "if I take Jaimee to stageband, can you walk?" "Dad there is no school today!" "What. I just scraped the van for you". How sweet, hey! Love it when he does that!

Come on Spring!

Oh how I am looking forward to spring! I just love being able hang out my laundry, hear the birds, see the flowers and I love the sound of the lawnmowers (I really do! - they truly are the sound of the season)

Friends we meet

I took this picture three years ago when I first got my new digital SLR, I still love this photo and my camera! This is a picture of my oldest daughter and our dog as they were exiting a tunnel.

More to Adore friend

I am also loving my cuttlebug folders, they add so much dimension easily!

Bronze Medal at the Provincials!

We were so proud of Danica when she got her bronze medal at the provincials. She worked so hard for it! I ordered the stamp set Legendary Moments just for this page. I then used my Stazon ink and stamped right on the black and white photo. I also used my cricut (which was new at the time - fun to play with!)

Cousins

I love stamping and embossing on transparenceys. That is how I made the white outline flowers then I just cut them out and adhered with a glue dot. The word cousins is on foam squares for dimension.

Playful Petals and some scraps

I am on a mission to use up many of my scraps. This is one cards I came up with while doing just that.

Criss Cross Cards

I made these a couple of weeks ago and realized I hadn't posted them here. I love these cards, so much fun to make.

Pioneer Day

I figured I better get some scrapbooking done before I make anymore cards! Working on Danica's 2006 album, so I am almost caught up! Feels good too! This layout has zig-zag stitching around all the paper pieces so it looks like a quilt close up - really feels like the 'olden days'. I am into buttons lately too. Oh, and yes I did use my real sewing machine for the stitching - it doesn't get used much for clothing anymore so I use it for cards and scrapbooking instead.

Enjoy Life's Moments

Just can't get enough of the Bellas. I just want to keep using them. They are so fun. Probably because they are so not like me, all that bling and sassyness! A girl can dream I guess - perhaps my alter ego?!

Mocha Gracias

I have some wonderful parent helpers in my library at school. I haven't decided if I will give them this thank you card with a Starbucks gift card, or to order the Bookworm Bella and give a gift card to chapters. The librarian in me thinks it should be the Bookworm Bella but the Starbucks lover says this is the card!

Some People Feel the Rain

Just using some scraps. I bought this Bella stamp to go with a 'saying stamp' that I had it said something like this "rain or shine you're a friend of mine". Well of course I must have given the saying stamp away awhile ago since I had never used it! At least I had one saying to go with it. On the inside of the card it says,"other people just get wet" Bob Dylan.

Another Bella

I love this Bella. She is so sassy. I have 2 girls and lots of neices so I can see this card being used when we give out gift cards as gifts!

My First Bella!

My Bellas finally arrived and I had some time to play! I love the Bellas. I ordered this one especially for my youngest daughter's birthday card. She loves black, pink, bling and cats so I think she will like this card.

Thoughts of You

I love the new stamp set Thoughts of You, so versatile. This is one of my cards from my 10 from 1 template that I borrowed from Korin Sutherland. More to Adore is one of my favorite paper packs.

Tile Coasters - LOVE them!

I made these a few years ago and still love them. I used some leftover latex paint (Benjamen Moore Barnboard - love, love, love that color!), my stamps and some Stazon Ink. So easy to do. On the back I glued on some cork tiles from JYSK that fit perfectly.

Some Bright and Cheery cards

Still sticking to my New Years challenge to keep trying to use up my scraps and make more cards this is what I came up with. The CTMH paper is awesome with the Cuttlebug texture folders. I love this color combo, so cheery: Bubblegum, Kiwi and Breeze.

Look what's outside of my craftroom!

My quiet time to myself is no longer. Danica got some drums for an early birthday present and Jaimee thought she would join in the band. Oh well much better than fighting... I guess!

Good Times Little Boy Cards

These cards were so quick and easy to make with the Good Times papers. All of the animals are on foam squares so that they 'pop' out of the page for a 3-D effect. My favorite one is the monkey.

It's A Guy Thing Cards

Using some new papers (It's a Guy Thing) I made some cards for the men. This paper pack makes it easy to create some great male cards!

This card was very quick and easy to make and done with scraps!

Michael Buble was fabulous!

So who knew that he was so entertaining! We had a great time, if you ever get a chance you should go see him.

Danica at Seven

Using some new supplies. Danica is seven in the photo but almost 10 now, will I ever catch up?

Building a Snowman

Used my new cuttlebug on this layout. So much fun! Some tiny seed beads have been glued to the snowflake - nice and sparkly!

Best Friends

Ok so I used about 16 stamp sets in this layout! I just kept going and going. It was so much fun to do!

Totally Chic Creative Basics

Using up some of my scraps, and trying out some new papers and stamp sets.

Off to Michael Buble

Well after work a bunch of us are going on a road trip to Victoria to see Michael Buble. Should be fun. Friday won't be so fun!
