Camping at the River

I have loved this paper since it came out, have made some cards with it but was so happy when I could finally use it on a layout! All supplies are CTMH except rubons and spiral punch. The 'river' title and the flowers are on foam squares. Stamps used: Cobblestone Alphabet; August Word Puzzle; Sans Lowercase; Spot On; Journalling Jots; Today's Date; He Said She Said; Charm Uppercase; Cottage Floral

Papers: Boom di Ada Level 2
Embellishments: Buttons, photo clips, waxy flax, ricrac ribbon, spiral punch, rubons

Blue Ribbon Partybella

I used some of my scraps from the layout I just posted (and finally a Bella!) to create this card. I guess Eulanda didn't jinx me after all, this all came together in less than an hour. Of course the great inspiration came from the wonderful Lauren Meader (her blog: http://laurenm.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/), check out her blog for some awesome stuff!

Side view (sort of, I could have turned it more!), so you can see how Bella pops out.

Summer is...

This is definately not my normal summer layout, to me summer is bright and bouncy - but with so much blue and red in the pics how could I not use this paper??? I like how it turned out despite the fact that this is not one of my favorite paper packs! All supplies are CTMH except the flowers. Stamps used: Journalling Jots; Spot On Background; August Word Puzzle; Charm Lowercase
Paper: Blue Ribbon level 2; Indian Corn Blue B&T; Outdoor Denim
Embellishments: Dimensional Lowercase Alphabet; buttons, brads and flowers and of course some stitching on the paper.

Hi

Funny Eulanda asked me the other day how long it takes me to make a card. I said usually within an hour. Now I am sure this card took much longer than that! It should have been a quick one since I was using SCS sketch for this week but man did I struggle! I am still not completely satisfied with it but I am done!

San Josef Bay

I feel like this layout took me forever. I started last night with deciding on the layout, cutting the paper and pictures, then I stamped the Playful Flourishes with our White Daisy pigment ink and didn't want to emboss it so I left it overnight to dry. Today I used the foam tool and sponged white acrylic paint on the cardstock to give it some dimension. I then stamped the Journalling Jots and more Playful Flourish in Dutch Blue. Finally I covered the Dimensional Letters (I love these!) with liquid glass and tiny glass beads so I had to leave them to dry. My layout is finally completed. I love the look of the Journalling jots on the one page so much that now I don't want to ruin the layout with my handwritten journalling!!!LOL

All supplies are from CTMH (except vellum phrase and beads)
Page one - notice the Journalling Jots

Page 2 - notice the August Stamp of the Month (Today's Date in bottom corner)
Close up of letters

Stamps used: Playful Flourish; Journalling Jots; Today's Date (August SOTM)
Colors: White Daisy, Crystal Blue, Dutch Blue
Embellishments: Dimensional Monograms, Liquid Glass, Glass Beads, Vellum phrase

Mojo 48

I should be in bed (I am going now honest!), but I am in the middle of a scrapbook page (will finish tomorrow I hope!), and I just had to try out a new technique on my Just Blooms. I used Julee's sketch (below) for a quick and easy card. Here is my card. The technique is stamping on Flowers - I love it! Again using my Spot On Background - if you don't have this stamp set yet you've gotta get it! I embossed the white paper with my new script cuttlebug. All supplies are CTMH except the brad.

Stamps: Spot On Background; Say it in Style

Colors: Baby Pink, Black and White Daisy

Ribbon: Black Ribbon Rounds

Star Struck Birthday

Jason is away for a few days so it is time for me to play! (hehehe). No really after working at school for a while I came home to scrap but had card ideas to try! This one uses some scraps left over from a gathering I did last night. This is the sketch from Jen's blog: iheart2stamp. She is so talented! This is what I came up with. All supplies are CTMH except pewter clips and spiral punch. The stars are on foam squares and I stitched the edges of the DP.

Stamps: Star Struck; Happy Birthday; Journalling Jots; Legendary Moments
Colors: Black, Bamboo, Colonial White
Paper: Game On Level 2

Happy Birthday to you!

I had to ink up this new House Mouse stamp set. I love how it works with the music notes from the April Word Puzzle stamp set. Stamp sets: House Mouse design; Happy Birthday and Music notes from CTMH
Colors: Indian Corn Blue and Orange

Days Like This

I will be going into the school everyday until school starts so not as much scrapping time as I would like! I managed to squeeze some time in to make this card for this weeks Bella Sketch Challenge. A simple and quick card, not like I have been doing lately!
Stamps: Grumpybella; sentiment (Verve)
Colors: Buttercup, Garden Green

Take Time

My final card for today. I have to thank Kathy Page, she sent me some of these cute little girl images, and I just had to have them. Thanks for enabling me Kathy! The tag is a tag from a piece of clothing. Some clothing comes with great chipboard tags, I have kept a bunch of them and now have finally used one! The paper is some retired CTMH, the sentiment is from Hero Arts and the Girl is from Sugar Nellie stamps.

Happy Birthday 2u

I am starting to peeter out, so I will take a break for a bit. I so love this stamp set, the mice look so content!

Enjoy Life's Moments

When I look at this card, I think of Eulanda, she sent me the buttons, clips and image! It was nice to use my copics again. I used this weeks sketch from card positioning systems. This is the sketch:

Here is my card. The sunflower is on foam squares.

Sleep Deprived, and trying for some Mojo!

I am struggling with getting my sleep pattern adjusted to being home, my body is still on Japan time so I am awake most of the night, even though I won't let myself sleep in the day! I thought I would try to get some mojo back and play in the craft room. I used SCS sketch challenge and this is what I came up with. All supplies, except sentiment, are from CTMH. Stamps: Butterfly Kiss, Air Mail, Spring Equinox, Journalling Jots, Decorative Dainties all CTMH, sentiment (Verve)

Colors: Garden Green, Desert Sand, Bamboo

A couple of RAKs

What a nice thing to come home to. I had a couple of RAKs waiting for me when I arrived home.

Isn't this a wonderful frame! Carolina sent this too me, isn't she sweet! While I was gone Danica was in some riding lessons and my mom took some pics, one of which will look perfect in this frame and Danica will love it (she loves pink as much as I do!)! Thanks Carolina. This wonderful card and images was from the awesome Eulanda! She keeps spoiling me with her wonderful creations and now some more images for me to work with. Thanks Eulanda!

We're back!

Well we are back from Japan. What a fabulous time we had (I am still trying to adjust to different time zone - I am exhausted so no scrappin for a couple of days anyways)! I never did come across any copic markers - pretty bummed about that but everything else was an experience of a lifetime. Japan is full of wonderful, welcoming, warm friendly people and our host families were no different. Here are some pics of our trip (in no particular order!).

As we arrived in Tokyo airport.
The steaming mountains of Noboribetsu - an active volcano underneath! Yikes.
We had many traditional dance and drumming performances done for us and then we joined in on the fun.

I was surprised at how much the vegetation around Japan looked just like Canada!

Time to play!

We had one day at Disneyland. It was VERY HOT and HUMID but we stayed until closing and had a ball.

Shopping in the Harijuku (?) shopping district. Lots of fun for the kids but I don't do well in crowds! Jaimee wanted to wear her new kimono while we had our shopping day in Tokyo, her new friend joined in too (they bought themselves some glasses).

My favorite photo of the whole trip. You can see Jaimee and her friend walking in front of me.

We're Off!!!

Well I had hoped to 'get away' and play in my craft room as a pre-trip relaxation. However, I have been running around like a mad fool trying to get all the little things tied up before we leave. Although, both Jaimee and I are excited, I will be even more so when we are all on the plane (10 kids, 3 chaperones) and on our way! We get up at 5am tomorrow to start our day (our very loooong day!!!) We will be away until the 24th of July so I won't be posting anything until then. So everyone have a great July and I'll definately update you when I return!

BTW, since copics are made in Japan, what do you think the chances are that I find some and they are cheap??? A girl can only hope!!!

The Sights and Sounds...

The second 2 page layout for our Cluxewe camping trip last year. I have one more 2 pager to do. We had a great time and will be going back this year too. I don't know if you can see the sewing but I scattered it around here and there. I also did some clear embossing beside the large black and white photo. The "Beauty Seen..." sentiment is on foam squares as is the journalling. The title was printed on my computer. All supplies are CTMH (except little doodads clipped to the black and white photo).

The layout was done using the Imagine book
Stamp sets: Nature Walk, Weathered Backgrounds, Frame of Mind, He Said
Paper: Majestic Blue level 2; Gray Flannel cardstock, Desert Sand textured cardstock
