Autumn

The sketch from Nina B:

I decided to pull out some Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg that I won in some blog candy.  I put the main panel on foam strips so that the buttons are underneath.  The leaf is cut with my Slice Fall/Back to School.

An Easter Goodie Box

The Pals Paper Arts challenge this week is anything but a card, which of course fits the JUGS template challenge.

I used Leigh Ann's Gable box template found here, her Perfect Presentation templates are so cute and so easy to use.  The pattern papers and Rub on are American Crafts Letterbox. I cut the bunny and grass with my Slice Spring Cartridge, and before mounting the bunny I stamped him with the Unity grid background.

I will be filling this with some good quality chocolates and giving it to my SIL who has an Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Dinner at her house each year.

Another Grandma card

The sketch this week from Unscripted Sketches:
The Embellish Color Challenge:
An inspiration challenge from Little Red Wagon:

For my card I incorporated the Shabby Tea Room challenge to use some scraps (these pattern papers are scraps of CTMH papers that I have had for a long time) and I also incorporated Betsy's challenge to 'dress up a die cut'  (oh to be able to create like Betsy)!

I really wanted to make those pretty roses that I made the other day, but to be honest they are so fussy for me, I like these easy spiral roses - the quick, unfussy factor - so me!  I did spritz them with Glimmermist.  I cut the butterfly with my Indie Art Cricut Cartridge (Betsy enabled this purchase a long time ago!) and the sentiment is from my Slice Think Pink Cartridge.

Happy

The sketch this week from The Scrappiest:

For my layout I used all new goodies from my March Scrap Shotz kit which was full of Glitz and My Minds Eye Lush yumminess!  I had Jaimee take this picture of Jason and I before we headed out for our Valentine Dinner this year.  We hardly ever get pictures taken of us and I like how this one turned out!  I cut the large heart with my Graphically Speaking cricut Cartridge.

Grandma

The color challenge from Curtain Call is so beautiful how could I not take part!  Love these colors and the inspiration picture.
For my card I used this tutorial for making paper roses, which thus fits the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - flowers.  I stamped the Damask Background (PTI) in white daisy ink.  The center panel is cuttlebugged.  I used my Think Pink Slice Design Cartridge to cut the leaves and the sentiment (which of course is available at Scrap-Mart).  This also fits the Cute Card Thursday challenge - dimensions as not only is the center panel on foam squares, the rose is lots of dimension!

Daily Grind

The sketch this week from Crazy 4 Challenges:

The Color Challenge from Diva Coffee Break Designs:

An inspiration challenge from Saturday Spotlight:
Finally my card!  When I saw the sketch and the inspiration challenges I have to admit that I was tempeted to repost this card hehehe, but I didn't.  I used my Cutting Cafe images that I have had for a bit, it wasn't until I found out about this for using some digital images that I was able to really use them!  Now as I have said many times I am not a coffee drinker but love everything coffee, including the smell so I scented this with Cappuccino Card Scents.  These papers (Cocoa Cafe) are long ago retired from CTMH but I still love them.

Tea Time

The sketch this week from Stamping 411:

The color challenge this week from Color Q:
For my card I also incorporated the Oh, Alice challenge, to incorporate some text from old books.  The paper is from Amy Butler, Stamps are PTI and a SSD image.

This will be my last card as a SSD DT.  The term only went until the end of March so my time is up.  I love these images and really enjoyed working with them.

Oh woot, woot!

I just saw that my card was featured on the Raise the Bar site!

Sew Glad We're Friends and some Cricut Cards

This is my last week as Guest DT on Etsy Inspired.  It has been fun, but of course I will continue to play along!  This week our inspiration comes from Ponder and Stitch, the cutest little cuff bracelets and pouches.  I chose this cute little bracelet as my inspiration, wouldn't it be great for the sewer in your life.

The sponsor this week is Digi Stamp Characters by Heather Ellis, another Etsy shop.  What cute little images!  So sweet and innocent.  I chose this one called Pure Innocence.  I paired it up with a sentiment from Inktegrity, another line of fabulous digital images.  The pattern paper is Cosmo Cricket Material Girl. Another card for the Moxie Fab paper piecing challenge.
I hope you play along with us at Etsy Inspired!

Now the sketch from Card Positioning Systems:

The Color Challenge from Color Dare:
The Color Challenge from Stamping 411:

Now for my card I incorporated a couple more challenges: Bitten By the Bug2 - Sweet Treats cake 2; Cupcake Craft Challenge - food and drink, Stamping Royalty - glitter.  I used my new My Mind's Eye paper pack.  This is not my normal style (ie all the bling) but went out of my box so it fits the Raise the Bar challenge- April Fool - it is a little busy for what I usually do.

Again I was inspired by all the writing.

Now I wanted to make a card for the CAS challenge on SCS - it is New York themed.  I definitely got the New York theme, just not sure if it is CAS or not!  I used a few Cricut Cartridges for this and the center circle is actually a coaster I got in a pack at Michael's for $1.50!  I think this also fits the Cricutters Anonymous challenge - a girly card - fits doesn't it?

FWF - 29 Again

The sketch this week from Get Sketchy:

The color challenge from The Play Date Cafe:

I am still trying to use some scraps up.  These papers are from my October Afternoon Road Map collection.  I used the Unity stamps and then I cut the numbers from some of the OA paper.  The letter stickers are from Pink Paislee.  This is also for the Moxie Fab - Paper piecing challenge.
Be sure to start at Angela's blog and check out all the Friends with Flair participants.

Just be yourself

The sketch this week from Sweet Sunday:
The Color Challenge from Design Dollies:

Tenia's Jazzy Paper Designs challenge.  I have wanted to play with the last couple of challenges but just didn't.  I wanted to make something with lot of text like this:

For my card I used my new Hexagon-A-Thon from Schlosser Designs, so many uses for this fabulous stamp set, but I used it for the obvious!  I paired it with some October Afternoon paper and die cut along with some Jillibean soup paper and stickers.  I got the ribbon from Courtney's store, it is some yummy May Arts ribbon.  Lots of sewing here so I will enter it in the Fab'N'Funky challenge - technique as you all know how much I like my sewing!

Cosmo Cricket Alice

The sketch this week from Our Creative Corner:

A color challenge from Just Us Girls:
Some inspiration from CCEE, I went with the soft color palette.

A movie inspiration from 365 Card Challenge:
Finally my card!  I also took in the Sassy Studio Designs Challenge - to include a butterfly and a flower; the Oh Alice Challenge - include a butterfly or a caterpillar and the Color Create Challenge - any pastels.  Of course this is the sweet Sassy Alice image available from Sassy Design Studio.  I colored Alice with copics and mounted her with foam squares.  The paper and chipboard are from Cosmo Cricket.  I also used Courtney's Practicing Creativity stamps (You're Dandy).  This was a quick card for me, no sewing, ribbon or buttons!  I used my cricut to cut out the oval.

A couple of cards

The sketch this week from Just add Ink:

The Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger:

Sorry about the poor lighting, while in Europe Jason broke my camera lens so he bought a new one and it just isn't the same, I'm not too happy about that.  Anyhow you get the idea.  I also incorporated the Our Creative Corner Challenge - Easter; the Jacksonbelle Embellishments challenge - Easter/Spring; the Creative Card Crew challenge- going dotty and the Shabby Tea Room Challenge - spring and sewing.  I am happy to say I have pretty much used up this paper from Little Yellow Bicycle.  It always feels good to use up a whole pack as usually I end up just gettting tired of the paper after a couple of projects, move on and never come back to it.  The rabbit is cut out of textured cardstock with my Spring Slice Cartridge.  The eggs are from a punch I have had for several years.

The sketch this week from 2 Sketches 4 You:
I totally switched gears on this one!  I used my new Schlosser Design Stamp - Boughs along with the sentiment from Furnishing Fun and another little punch I have had around for years.  The cardstock is from PTI (Kraft and Orange Zest) as is the ribbon.  Of course this also fits the Creative Card Crew - dotty.

Woo hoo!

Oh my, lucky me over at the Limelight blog!  Some fabulous creations posted there today!

Apple Tree

The sketch this week from 365 Card Challenge:

Now after making this card, I thought that the tree would make a great apple tree so I tried it out with some October Afternoon paper.  I did morph the sketch a bit but you can still see it there.  I also included the Raise the Bar Challenge - include fruit; The Cupcake Craft Challenge - Food and Drink.  The clouds are from Practicing Creativity and the sentiment stamp is Unity.  The tree is from The Cutting Cafe.  I paper pieced it so it fits the Paper Sundaes Challenge.

Europe 2010

The sketch this week from The Scrappiest:
And my take on it.  Jason was surprised that I scrapped a couple of his pictures already (he is still trying to recoup from the trip!).  All the paper is from CTMH (the map paper is of France - so perfect) that I have had for quite awhile (it is now retired) so it fits the Practical Scrappers challenge.  I used the Slice International Cartridge to cut out the title, the luggage tag, Eiffel tower and the Coliseum.  The stamps are Unity both of course can be purchased from Scrap-Mart.

The Sky's the limit

The sketch this week from Limelight:

The color challenge from Color Throwdown:
I dug into my stash to find this K & Company paper that I have had for awhile.  I so need to get rid of so much paper! Yikes!  Anyhow, I inked up my new Practicing Creativity stamp set - Look Up, love it!  Can't wait to use the banner!
