Spa Night

For my Friends with Flair post see below, this is my second post today.

Sassy Studio Designs have a challenge on until 5pm on NSD, to include at least one SSD image in a layout.  I have been loving the sneak peeks of the new images.  Just the inspiration I needed to scrap Danica's 12th birthday pictures.  Also got me to dehoard this fabulous Scenic Route paper.

Unity Friend with Flair and more!

Liz was kind enough to supply a sketch for us over at Scrap-Mart.  Be sure to head over and play along.

For my layout I used some American Crafts Dear Lizzy and Letterbox papers.  I cut the flowers and bunny with the Spring Slice cartridge.  The flowers were stamped with a dot background from Unity and the bunny has been embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.  The letter stickers are American Crafts.

The sketch this week from Sketch for You To Try:
More Cosmo Cricket paper!  I used an uninked Unity stamp finally, that monkey has been calling my name ever since I got it!

The sketch this week from Mojo Monday:
The ad inspiration from 365 Cards

The color challenge from The Play Date Cafe:

For my card I also incorporated the Practical Scrappers Challenge of buttons, the Heart 2 Heart challenge - at least 2 different ribbons.  All the pattern paper and cardstock is from CTMH, as is the blue ribbon and buttons.  I used the Unity ledger background and Grid background as well.  The turtle is cut with my Cricut, Walk in My Garden and then sewed.

Just got my new April KOTM  yesterday and had to ink up the funky flower.  Some more cards for the CAS-tastic Challenge.

Now don't forget to begin at Angela's blog and see all the fabulous creations this week!

A day late but that is ok, here is an inspiration challenge from City Crafter:

I pulled out my Pink Paislee paper and went to work.  This card came together using scraps and a half hour!  Love that.  The die cut is from my Slice (Spook Alley).

Crafting Queen

I just recently was crowned with a new blog award!!!!! The Fabulous Crafty Girl Kim. after searching far and wide in her royal kingdom of crafting...has bestowed this royal award to me!!! Kim, you have totally made my day!!!!!

Before awarding this award myself... you need to read what Queen Sassy Lady wrote because it was just way to clever....

Now it is my royal decree as Crafty Girl Laurel to Crown other Royal Crafting Queens..... I have searched the kingdoms far and wide for worthy ladies and gentlemen that share the desire to pass their crafting love and skills to all the subjects in the kingdom without royal fees or taxes and have found these worthy subjects...

To take up your crown the new Queen must link their blog to the sender of this blog and any future Queens they crown. . If you've been crowned, please send an email to Queen Cindy or me at Cre8tveLdy@aol.com and Queen SassyLady at shesasassylady@hotmail.com, along with your web or blog address and the website of whoever crowned you, so you can be listed as a Royal Blogger. (If you need the "King" version of the award, let Queen Cindy know and she will email it to you.)

I hope you will proudly display this award on your site, and I thank you for being such a benevolent Queen or King who is so generous to your loyal subjects!

Crafty Girl Kim... I am humbled and honored to accept this award!! In return, I have searched the entire blogging kingdom and found a loyal subject worthy of this crown... and I would like to award this crown to...

I Did it!

The sketch this week from The Scrappiest.
For my layout I used some new Fancy Pants Road Show papers available from Scrap Shotz.  Love these papers!  I inked up my new Technique Tuesday stamp from Scrap Shotz called, Everyday Words by Ali Edwards.    I also used Courtney's Practicing Creativity Stamps: Look Up and You're Dandy.  Not the best picture of me and of course I had to black out the person beside me as I don't know who it is, but this was a big accomplishment for me so I had to scrap it! ETA - I only blacked out the face here on my blog, IRL it is a proper photo.

How timely that I scrap this from October 2009 since I just finished the 10K yesterday!

First 10K

Well I just got back from my first 10K race.  It was very hard for me and I pushed as hard as I could.  I finished at 1:02:20 - which was right where I wanted to be.  A little sore now, but glad I did it!

Techie Happy Birthday

A sketch challenge over at Stamp TV:

Still more Cosmo Cricket, the Boyfriend - love this paper!  The stamps are from Gina K.

More Cosmo Cricket goodies and I made a card for my nephew.  The star is cut with my Cricut.

Last weeks sketch from Skipping Stones:

While I had the Boyfriend papers out, I decided to make a GC holder for an iTunes card.  This fits the There She Goes challenge of a tag and some stitching, as well as the Pals Paper Arts - simple

The inside, I don't have the GC yet, LOL!

Friendship

I decided to use this sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You, since it allowed me to ink up some neglected Unity stamps.

Here is my card, making my way through some old stash of Cosmo Cricket.  All stamps are from Unity.  The teapot and sentiment are on foam squares.
Be sure to start at Angela's blog to see all the Friends with Flair participants.

Dozey me!

Ok, I'm losing it!  Do you know how many times I looked at the sentiment on my card below and not realized I forgot a word?!  Too many... great editing hey... I forgot the 'a' it should say 'Just a little perk me up' - how dozey!  LOL

A Little Perk me up

The sketch this week from OCC:

I used my From my Kitchen Cricut cartridge along with some American Crafts papers.  The ribbon is May Arts.  I printed the sentiment up on my computer.  I thought that this would make a great Starbucks GC holder for when someone just needs a little something to cheer them up.
