YUM

It is my final week as a Guest at Skipping Stones.  I have enjoyed being a guest this month and really love their stamps!  I will be sure to continue playing along when I can.

This week we were given this inspiration photo:

The Design Team is also featuring the set Cupcake Cutie to go along with the fun photo.  I decided to dig out my Pebbles Hip, Hip, Hooray papers as I thought they were perfect for it!  I have also used some May Arts V Striped Twill which is available at Ribbon Carousel.

I used this week's Less is More sketch:

Now be sure to hop on over to the Skipping Stones blog to see what everyone else has created for you today.

Watermelon Gazpacho cards

I am blogging live (well sort of, I made these cards this morning, then went on a run now I am posting them). Before going on holidays (gone most of July) my crafting started to feel like a chore as I had so much on my plate to get done before I left.  Anyhow, it feels good to play just because and have some fun with it again.

I wanted to break into my Card Kitchen July kit, which is full of Jillibean Soup Watermelon Gazpacho goodies - I have to justify purchasing them somehow ;)

For my first card I used this sketch from Sketchbook Saturday:

I fussy cut the clothesline from pattern paper, and the sentiment is from SRM Stickers

The next card I made used this week's CPS sketch:

Again more fussy cutting and a SRM Sticker.  This and the next card are for The Kraft Journal challenge - use a sketch.

For the last card I was inspired by this sketch at iSpy sketches - but it did kind of get away from me, hehehe.

I also incorporated the Circles, Blue and Floral from The Paper Players.

Again some fussy cutting and I had fun with my stitching on this one.  In all cases the clothesline is mounted on foam squares.

Macho Nacho Soup cards

Starting to get my groove on again ;)  After being away most of July, I have had a hard time getting back into the crafting groove.  Well I finally got out of my funk.  I played with my Card Kitchen kit., which was full of Macho Nacho Soup papers by Jillibean Soup.

The first card I did was for Kimber's sketch challenge at 2 Peas:

After making that card I decided to see what else I could do with them.

I like the many different sentiment stickers on the sticker page and here I have put them on the TVs in the pattern paper.

Then I saw the sketch from Sweet Sunday this morning so I went back down and played again.

The corrugated stars are from Jillibean Soup as well.

Finally, one last card before I put the papers away.

Stitched With Love

I was playing around with some of my fun Dani Mogstad collections by Jessica Sprague and I came up with this card.  I used the Playdate Paper Pack.  This does look pretty simple, but if you look closely I stitched along all the chevron lines as I wanted it to be like a quilt.  The stamps are from There She Goes (Stitched With Love) and the Ivory Jute Twine is from May Arts, available at Ribbon Carousel.

Family, meeting Greg

I am finally playing along at Friends with Flair over at Unity again.  Seems I never have time to anymore.  Anyhow, I was given the new Fair Skies collection by Farmhouse Paper Company and do I ever love the thickness of the papers and all of the fun chipboard pieces!  This is a brand new paper company and I can't wait to use more of their stuff!   For this layout I used 3 different SMAK kits by Unity (me documented, cre-ate and True Story.  The tag and small letter stickers are from Jillibean Soup and finally the jute was wrapped around the collection when I got it.

I was inspired by the sketch over at Stuck?! sketches, although I did change it up a bit.

I Love Summer

I am up on the Nikki Sivils blog today with a few projects.  One of which is this flip flop shaped card using the Summer collection.  I used the Flip Flop file from The Cutting Cafe.  The pieces are adhered with Beacon Zip Dry before sewing and finally I finished it off with some rhinestones from Want2Scrap.

I would love for you to stop by the Nikki Sivils blog.

Inspired By #33

Time is almost up to enter this week's Inspired By Challenge.

For my project I was inspired by the woodgrain, the stripes (although my striped paper is mostly covered, LOL) and the colors. I used myCrate Paper Story Teller papers along with some Unity Me Documented SMAK stamps.  I cut the circle strip using my Quickutz  Circle Punches die.

CHA layout

I have a lot of DT projects that I am still trying to catch up on, but I took some time out to do a quick layout just for me.  I got to meet a lot of people at CHA and meeting Kimber was fabulous.  I have admired her work for a long time and was very happy to have met her.  She is so down to earth.  Of course to scrap this photo I had to use some of my Jillibean Soup Neopolitan Bean Bisque Soup papers!  I have also used some of the new Elle's Studio tags and a few SRM Stickers.  I used my Cricut to cut the title and the pennants.

I used this month's sketch from Jillibean Soup.
