It's All About Today

I was up on the Pebbles Blog the other day sharing this project using the Basics line.  I LOVE the Basics - I am all over ledger, chevron and polka dots lately.  I love pink and my favorite shade is Baby Pink but I wanted it to 'grow up' a bit so I added, gray, black and honey and I am so happy with how this project turned out!  I have it sitting on my desk and it just makes me happy.  I purchased the giant clothespin in a clearance bin at Michael's for $1 and yes I have had it for awhile and yes I am kicking myself for not getting more.  To dress up the clothespin I used a few Lania Lamb stamp sets and die from My Favorite Things, a Technique Tuesday stamp, a Unity Stamp, some Twinery Twine and a button from A Flair for Buttons.

Now don't forget to play along in my Inspired By Challenge - you will see where I got the inspiration for this project.

Chicago Mini Album

Caution photo heavy post today ;)

I am up on the Jillibean Soup blog today with the mini album that I created for CHA.  I used a ton of diffent items for this including Macho Nacho Soup, Game Day Chili, Neopolitan Bean Bisque, the new Placemats, Alphabeans, twine...  I had fun making it and am so glad to finally have my photos from my husband and my trip to Chicago last summer (yes I went to CHA).  If you get through this post, don't forget to hop on over to the Jillibean Soup Blog to see what the other designers have for you.

Baby Boy

I used the new Brothers Mini Theme by Echo Park to create this baby boy card.  I had a request at work for a baby boy card and I didn't have any in my stash (lots of girl ones though!) so I went to work.  I like how this turned out, I like non theme paper for projects - it really stretches the collection and adds an extra challenge for me.  The clothespins are from Pebbles.  I cut the giraffe using my Cricut New Arrival.  I got the idea from this card from a card I just saw in the Cricut Babies magazine.

Project Life Week 8

I am still keeping up with my Project Life album.  This morning I scrapped last week's photos and I didn't have as many so I used one of the half pages.  So glad there are different options for the albums.  I also kept the pages simple this week as I have a lot to do today - things to get done as I need to start thinking about doing my report cards.  I used the new Oh Snap Mini Collection by Echo Park, along with some Technique Tuesday stamps, some My Favorite Things Dies and a bit of Pebbles Washi Tape.  It all went together very quickly.

Week 4

I was up on the Echo Park Blog the other day but I thought I would share my Photo Freedom Volume 1 pages here too.  I love how easily I am able to scrap our everyday moments using the Echo Park Photo Freedom collections.  They can be left simple as they are or fancied up with some layers and such.  I have kept mine simple this time.  I have used a couple of Silhouette cuts, Unity stamps, some buttons from A Flair for Buttons and some twine.  I am playing along with the Friends with Flair again, wow twice in one month!

Inspired By #62

You have until tonight to play along in my Inspired By Challlenge.

I knew right away that I was going to use my Seen & Noted by Pebbles, and was just going to stick to the gray and yellow but I snuck in this flowered paper as well.  I cut the smile sentiment with my Silhouette.  I was totally inspired by Danni Reid's card and used it as my sketch.  I love Danni's work!

By the way, just a bit of enabling here.... the Seen & Noted is the deal today at Crafty Steals!

You may want to head on over to catch the deal it is awesome!

Project Life Week 7

Jason and I had a great getaway to the Tigh-Na-Mara last night and of course when we got home it was back to reality - laundry, painting, talking the dog for a run...  I managed to get my Week 7 of Project Life completed though and I am happy about that.  I used my Basic Grey Fiction 6 X 6 paper pad, along with some Elle's Studio bits and bobs, stamps from My Favorite Things, Technique Tuesday, Elle's Studio, my Silhouette and some Twine.

Featured on the Silhouette Blog

Yay, my My Mind's Eye layout was featured on the Silhouette blog today.

Choose the right

You may recall from last month's challenge that the purpose of this challenge group was to take our scrapbooking to the next level, to stretch our creative process and to grow as artists by embracing challenges that make us think, work and grow.

This month, our challenger was the super talented Lisa Spiegel. Lisa lives in California with her family and this month she asks us to think about our growth in 2013. This is what she wrote:

"Create a layout about your One Little Word. You know, the word that we scrappers choose in January upon which to reflect for the year. This word should have special meaning to
you and be selected for it's potential to help you reach and grow...the only hard part..you must use a photo of yourself and add journalling to the layout explaining the significance of the word..."

My word is Choices.   There are always so many choices to make (health, family, fitness, financial....) and I hope to really think about them and make good ones - the right ones.  I created my layout to reflect these choices by going along a 'path' or 'journey' and to always be aware of the direction I should go.

I used The Sweetest Thing papers and such by My Mind's Eye, along with some Silhouette cuts, Jillibean Kraft, a button from A Flair for Buttons and a couple of Unity Stamps.  I am also playing along with the Friends With Flair - haven't done that in awhile.  Finally, it is also for the My Mind's Eye Groundhog Day challenge - I went with shadows.  I am also entering this into the My Mind's Eye and Gossamer Blue Guest Designer challenge.

I hope you will join the rest of our Inspiration Elevator team to see what word best reflects their plans for change and growth in 2013.
