Live with gratitude

Time for another challenge over at The Challenge
and this week it is the masculine inspiration.

I went with the colors and used some Teresa Collins papers.
A bit of layering of the pieces and then topped with a
tea cup die from Simon Says.
I like to create cards that could just sit on a desk as a small inspirational art piece.

I was inspired by this week's sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches:

Spring Themed Card Trio

I am up on the Scrapbook Adhesives Blog today with a set of cards.

I was so disappointed when so many of my favorite craft magazines went digital.
One thing though since they did....
is that I 'can' use old papers.
I used some Yippee papers by Chickaniddy Crafts
which I absolutely love!

I wanted to play along with some challenges and that I did.
I love the feel of adding the Chicken Wire die when there is a great woodgrain paper.
I think in a previous life I lived on a farm because anything like this just makes my heart happy :)

I used the sketch from the As You See It Challenge:

Next up basically a flip of the sketch.
For this card I die cut a butterfly and topped it with a fussy cut sentiment.
Of course used that background die again.

I played along with the Crazy 4 Challenges sketch:

Finally, when I saw all those pretty scraps,
I knew which sketch I was going to use :)
I love how this card turned out!

I used the sketch from this week's Retro Sketches challenge:

Products Used:
paper: Chickaniddy Crafts
Dies: My Favorite Things; Simon Says
Twine: Divine Twine
Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives.

Do what makes you happy

It is Monday again and you know what that means...
yes it is time for another challenge.
This week we have an inspiration photo for you.

When I saw the photo I knew immediately which papers I wanted to use.
I used the Blue Bay collection by KaiserCraft.
They worked perfectly don't you think.
The background die is from My Favorite Things
other than that, all else is either die cuts from the collection
or fussy cut.

Be sure to check out what the other designers created for this challenge.

Be You

Playing along with a couple of challenges today.
I used the Cottage Living collection by Pebbles for this CAS graphic card.
I cut the main letters from some of the pattern paper,
then just mounted them with some 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L
A super simple card.
But I like it :)

However...it doesn't stop there
This time I decided to carry it through to the inside of the card.

I was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches:
As well as the color challenge at Color Q:

Tea Party with Pebbles

Time for another challenge from The Challenge.

Any excuse to make a tea card :)
I love that bottom cup, it is so pretty!
I used some Pebbles (Homemade) paper, the stamps are from The Ton (Tea Party) and the spoons are a die from Simon Says.

Be sure to play along!

A couple of Love You cards

I played along with some challenges to create a couple of cards.
I am playing along with the Simon Says challenge - Hearts

First up is the card I created for the My Favorite Things sketch.

Here is the sketch that I was inspired by:

Next up I played along with Lisa's sketch - so glad she is back to sketching!
A super simple card, I just used a journaling card and attached some small strips of paper and stapled on the die cut hearts.  So easy!

Both cards work for the Curtain Call Challenge

Apoo...another word for Auntie :)

I am up on the My Mind's Eye Blog today.  I had to scrapbook this story... makes me giggle.
I used the On Trend 2 collection, such pretty colors and patterns.

Such a great photo and the colors in the papers worked well with it.

I do have more detail up on the My Mind's Eye Blog, would love for you to take a peek :)

Elegance never fades

It is time for another challenge over at The Challenge and this is sketch week:

I must admit I was a bit baffled at first but then I remembered that I had this beautiful Altenew stamp set (Painted Flowers) and challenged myself to try them out.
If you know me, you know I love my pattern paper and really don't use my stamps enough.
Today I am glad that I did :)
Although I couldn't go with a plain white, so I used one of my journaling cards by Heidi Swapp, a subtle pattern.
The cardstock is from My Mind's Eye - love the Goldenrod!

I also used the DIY stamp set by Precious Remembrance along with a sentiment from The Ton (Timeless Icons).  The bottom rose is mounted on 3D Foam Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives for a bit of dimension.

Be sure to check out the rest of the inspiration over at The Challenge!
